How we look after your personal information.
This policy explains what personal information Salus House collects, why we collect it, how we look after it and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it plain and short.
Who we are
Salus House Ltd runs Salus House, a wellness club at 17 Foots Cray High Street, Sidcup, DA14 5HJ. We are the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions, email reception@salus.house or call 07340 205742.
What we collect
- When you enquire, request a trial or book a tour: your name, mobile number, email address and any details you choose to share with us.
- When you become a member or start a trial: your contact details, membership and attendance records, and payment details, which are handled by our booking and payment providers rather than stored by us.
- Health information: if you join, we may ask about injuries or medical conditions so our coaches can keep you safe. We only use this for that purpose, and only with your consent.
- When you use our website: basic technical information such as your device, browser and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your tour or trial. After an enquiry we may contact you by phone, text or email over the following couple of weeks to help you get started.
- To set up and run your membership, take payments and manage class bookings.
- To keep members safe and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
- To send you news and offers, but only if you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
Our legal basis
We rely on taking steps at your request before a contract and performing your membership contract; our legitimate interests in running and improving the club and following up on enquiries; your consent for health information and marketing; and our legal obligations, for example keeping financial records.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run Salus House, such as our website host (Webflow), our booking and enquiry forms (Elfsight), our booking and membership platform, and our payment providers. They may only use it to provide their service to us. Some of these providers store data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
If you enquire but do not join, we keep your details for up to 12 months and then delete them. If you become a member, we keep your records while you are a member and for up to six years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Health information is deleted once it is no longer needed.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and some that help us understand how it is used. Embedded services, such as our booking widgets, may also set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to move it to another provider, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, email reception@salus.house. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
